IFPUG Counting Practices Manual 4.2 Support

The Function Point WORKBENCH™ provides full support for the function point counting standards defined in the IFPUG Counting Practices Manuals 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2.

  • Perform Function Point Analysis to any of the IFPUG 4.0, 4.1 or 4.2 standard

  • Convert Function Point Counts between the IFPUG 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 standards

Database Management

  • Browse for database
    Find all WORKBENCH databases beneath a specified location on the local machine or server

  • Browse for Counts in a WORKBENCH database
    Summarise all Counts within a WORKBENCH database showing their name, size, status and other attributes

Primary Workspace

  • Context sensitive menus (right click)

  • Label selection from drop-down list in toolbar

  • Flyover display of transaction and component details
    Tailorable from the toolbar

  • Count / Count View toggle
    Graphically highlight scope and size of functions within a Count View

  • Quick Macro Estimation
    Display cost & effort estimates within flyover

Reporting

  • New: Work Item / Use Case Analysis report
    Report the scope & size of functionality within one or more Work Items or Use Cases

  • Enhanced: Functions to Notes Cross-Reference report

  • Enhanced: Notes to Functions Cross-Reference report
    These reports now include both Transactions & Files

Count Management Utilities
